Tyler McKenna
Design Consultant
Tyler grew up in the home improvement industry. Starting as a carpenter, and then branching out into design and sales. His goal has always been to provide customers with a great home improvement experience along with a high-quality installation. Since his start at Patio Systems in 2021, he has helped hundreds of homeowners transform their underutilized porch and patio areas into beautiful enclosures that can be enjoyed year-round. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys fishing, restoring classic cars and trucks, and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter.
Nicole Hammond
Chief Operating Officer
Nicole has been a valued contributor to our team since 2017. In her current role, she focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and empowering our team by providing the support and resources necessary for them to excel in their roles. Her impressive communication skills, solution-oriented mindset, and exceptional organizational abilities allow her to bridge the gap between our customers and the talented team members who bring their projects to life.
Nicole believes in approaching life with intention and purpose. She enjoys preparing healthy meals for her family, spending time outdoors, and reading books that promote personal development.
Rick Baker
Field Supervisor
One of our Sussex County natives who takes great pride in his surroundings. Rick is a husband and father of two amazing children, he and his family are avid local events attendees who enjoy being part of their community. When he and his team are not working hard to resolve issues for our patrons, he enjoys most of his free time with family and friends in the outdoors of Delmarva. His knowledge of our products and the ready and willing team he has here, going above and beyond for our customers, are a vital part of our companies drive to serve others with Integrity.
Jeff Nickerson
Project Manager
Jeff has been an integral part of our team since 2013. With a passion for craftsmanship, he brings a wealth of experience in project management and carpentry. As our Project Manager, Jeff ensures that every project meets the highest standards of workmanship. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys hitting the golf course and cherishing moments with his boys. He is an avid follower of bluegrass music and finds joy in the company of his German Shorthairs. When he’s off the clock, you can find him experimenting in the kitchen, cooking up delicious meals for family and friends.
Tucker Nickerson
Service Manager
Tucker has leveraged his background in sunroom installation and his experience running his own home improvement business to excel in his role as Service Manager. He brings invaluable expertise that enhances our commitment to exceptional service. A proud graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Tucker has lived in the area for 15 years. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and playing golf and softball. He values the outdoors and cherishes time spent with family and friends.
Jeni Martzall
Showroom Host & Receptionist
Jeni moved here from Lititz, PA with her partner Christopher who is the owner of Patio Systems. Jeni joined the Patio Systems Team in July of 2024. Growing up Jeni spent a lot of her summer weekends here in Delaware at her grandparent’s camper. She has two daughters who live in the Pittsburgh area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, walking, reading and visiting her family in PA.
Bobbi-Jo Pulsifer
Accountant
Bobbie-Jo is an essential part of our team at Patio Systems. With over 25 years of accounting experience, she oversees all financial aspects of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions for customers, suppliers, and staff members alike. A graduate of the New England Institute of Technology with an associate degree in Medical Accounting, Bobbie-Jo has held various roles throughout her career, ranging from bookkeeper to controller and senior accountant.
Originally from Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Bobbie-Jo brings a warm and personable touch to our daily operations. Outside of work, she cherishes time spent with her daughter and their two dogs, Harley and Willow. Bobbie-Jo loves to travel, relax at the beach, and soak up the sun whenever she can.
Chris Burns
Owner/Operations Manager
Chris’ career began in the United States Coast Guard, where he served from 1987 to 1994. Since then, he has immersed himself in the building industry, tackling a diverse range of projects that include decks, custom log homes, gymnasiums, community centers, and indoor pool and track facilities. A dedicated community advocate, Chris served as an athletic administrator in various Christian schools from 1995 to 2018. His true passion lies in serving others—whether through business, coaching, or leading guided trips to Alaska, which he has been doing since 2009. Chris joined Patio Systems in the summer of 2021 and recently acquired the company from the former owner. As our leader, he brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, ensuring that every project reflects the high standards of quality and service our customers deserve. Blessed with three incredible children and two beautiful grandchildren, Chris finds the greatest joy in spending time with his partner, Jeni, and their two dogs, Theo and Bella. He strives to foster a culture of excellence and integrity within the company, always prioritizing the satisfaction of our customers.
